The boxes and objects pictured above formed part of the December 2019 exhibit Transducing* / Transduciendo at the Biblioteca Henestrosa in Oaxaca, Mexico.

The pieces were constructed over a number of years, mostly in Spain. I like to think they called themselves into being.

Apart from the glues I used, and the glass enclosing them, the assemblages were completely made from found and recycled materials – and ideas. This includes the wooden wine boxes the assemblages were constructed into.

*Transducing: to convert something (such as energy or a message) into another form.

Transduciendo: convertir algo (como energía o algún mensaje) en otra forma.

Newer work below includes assemblage, encaustic, carton and pin works, mixed media and gofrado pieces and monotypes with interventions.
